We have all felt this way more than once (Looking forward to Nilanjana's and Kreep's comment about the poem)

Sparks and short circuits, The sins of my life, The Devil comes to me, And says that God has lied.

I am sure I am shocked, I bear an incomplete expression, God did not seem so promising, The Devil made a good impression.

What do you say when there is nothing left to tell? What do you tell an ignorant? Baby, I was once a baby, With closed eyes, expressing pain, As if I had the knowledge of, Humans being the shitload of the universe.

What stayed with you?

A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.

It's better to be a sinner than to be a martyr. I am a sinner and so are you, God is a Rock, unmovable in its impositions. We sin to increase our knowledge and blast those impositions. It's not the words of atheist that ridicules the ignorance of innocence nor the disillusioned being seeking penance. It's the quintessential human being caught in the gravity between the tide and the moon.

Does that mean that we can not - not sin? (P.S.: God is a rock only in Hinduism)

Sinning is an integral part to the path to knowledge. "God" is a figurative term and the ultimate scapegoat!

in a sense you are right nilanjana...but sin is a very christian term...in hinduism as we sow so we reap..that is the fundamental belief..irrespective of the acceptance of God or not..

I wonder why you are making your comments religiously and not humanly. God and Devil are not just what we call them, but also what they symbolize (or rationalize).

I don't want to point at any religious beliefs out here. To me God and the Devil is akin to Matter and Anti-Matter, the Yin and Yang. They are not icons of religion but measurements of Energy - positive or negative. It all depends on how you perceive it and how you harness it.

again the sign convention..wonder how u do it nilanjana;give the devil his due respect

Almost sounds like star wars nilanjana. How life makes us wonder about what life is! All our lives we keep thinking... and we stay ignorant.

God is science - the undefined science caught in the web of fiction and fact. So there is nothing remotely star-warish about it.

God is overrated, sins are defined. Star Wars is nothing but the story of the Good and Evil in the all of us.

Came to my attention recently that George Lucas has derived his ideas about Star Wars from Indian mythology/the theory of Dharma.
