Down the dark pathways of introspection, Into the deep labyrinths of everyday, Treads the child of my loneliness, Petrified, numb with the uncertainity.
Feelings rush past in their ephemeral glory, Like dust shining in a ray of sunlight, I clutch at them to find them disappear, From my palms, devoid of permanence.
My rationality smirks at my innocence, There runs a fugitive from logic, he mocks, The confusion, the bedlam of not comprehending, The baffling joy of being able to reach out.
All at once, clarity breaches the dam, Gushing out like a million stars into me, Fear is now driftwood in the swirling waters, Of my hesitant love for you.
