Love Poem.
Look at me today. Imprint me in your mind,
For I will age tomorrow, I’ll leave this look behind.
Time and tide they say, wait for absolutely no one
The fine lines that they draw can’t really be undone.
Look at me as I am and remember me this way
Years later in your memory this look shouldn’t fade away.
I don’t know what changes time will wreak on my frame
I may grow ill, weak & frail and never be the same.
In that case dear sweetheart, I would like to think
You’ll see me as I am today when you shut your eyes or blink.
It’ll console me greatly when I’m old and look into the mirror
That in your mind at least, I’ll be young and pretty forever.

What stayed with you?
A line that lingered, a feeling, a disagreement. Great comments are as valuable as the original piece.
