Don't you think that there are two faces to this. Surely it's all in the mind, and this can help one not feel low in life but the same wou;d apply for the moment of joy and the whole essence of living will be lost
yes silver, but a person prone to bouts of extreme emotions including joy, is also prone to depths of depression. hence this poem is just an effort to enforce positiveness amidst a real world.reality is hard.
